Σκοπός είναι η προώθηση της άθλησης και η επαφή με τη φύση καθώς και η εμπλοκή ολόκληρης της οικογένειας.
Ο χώρος εκκίνησης και τερματισμού θα είναι το δημοτικό σχολείο του χωριού.
Ο αγώνας ως επί το πλείστο γίνεται μέσα σε παρθένο δασικό τοπίο. Η διαδρομή ξεκινά μέσα από το μονοπάτι δίπλα από τον ποταμό Καρκώτη και μέσα από ένα παρθένο δασικό τοπίο διασχίζει την όμορφη κοιλάδα του ποταμού και περνά κοντά στις εγκαταστάσεις του κλειστού ορυχείου χρωμίου και από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου της Στέγης (12ος αιώνας), που διαθέτει εξαιρετικές τοιχογραφίες και περιλαμβάνεται στον κατάλογο της Παγκόσμιας Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς της UNESCO.

Start/Finish inside the elementary school of the village.
The race mostly takes place in pristine forest scenery. The route starts through the path next to the Karkotis River and through a pristine forest landscape crosses the beautiful river valley and passes near the closed chrome mine and the church of Agios Nikolaos of Stegis (12th century), which has excellent frescoes and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
