Ο Δήμος Κουρίου μαζί με το Σωματείο Limassol Lizards διοργανώνουν φέτος τον ετήσιο αγώνα δρόμου με την ονομασία, “Ipsonas is Running for You” την Κυριακή, 19 Οκτωβρίου 2025.

Ο αγώνας γίνεται εις μνήμη της οικογένειας Παντελή Γεωργίου, καθώς και της Θέκλας Καραντώνη.

Η τοποθεσία του αγώνα είναι στο Φράγμα του Κούρη, στον σταθμό της Υδατοπρομήθειας, κοντά στην υπερχείλιση, στον Ύψωνα.

Όλα τα καθαρά έσοδα θα διατεθούν για την ενίσχυση των ταμείων άπορων παιδιών των Δημοτικών Σχολείων του Δήμου Κουρίου.

Τα αγωνίσματα που θα διεξαχθούν την ημέρα του αγώνα είναι:

• Αγώνας 600μ για παιδιά χωρισμένος σε τρεις κατηγορίες (Α-Β, Γ-Δ και Ε-ΣΤ Δημοτικού). Για τους παιδικούς αγώνες δεν χρειάζεται προεγγραφή και θα βραβευθούν τα πρώτα τρία αγόρια και τα πρώτα τρία κορίτσια.
• Αγώνας 1.500μ για μαθητές Γυμνασίου/Λυκείου και αρχάριους ενήλικες, για περπάτημα ή τρέξιμο. Σε αυτόν τον αγώνα μπορούν να συμμετέχουν, εκτός συναγωνισμού, και άτομα με αναπηρία με τροχοκάθισμα ή και γονείς με καρότσι. Θα βραβευθούν οι πρώτοι τρεις άντρες και οι πρώτες τρεις γυναίκες.
• Αγώνας 1.000μ με πατίνια, ο οποίος προστίθεται ως bonus διαδρομή για το 2025 με εισφορά €5.
• Αγώνας 5.000μ (εταιρικό και ατομικό), όπου θα βραβευθούν οι πρώτοι έξι άντρες και οι πρώτες έξι γυναίκες, και οι πρώτες τρεις εταιρείες.
• Αγώνας 10.000μ ατομικό, όπου θα βραβευθούν οι πρώτοι έξι άντρες και οι πρώτες έξι γυναίκες.
• Αγώνας Κουρίου 17.000μ/34.000μ, όπου θα βραβευθούν οι πρώτοι έξι άντρες και οι πρώτες έξι γυναίκες.

Kourion Municipality, along with the Limassol Lizards Running Team, are organizing this year’s annual road race, “Ipsonas is Running for You,” on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

The race is held in memory of the Pantelis Georgiou family and Thekla Karantoni.

The location of the race is at the Kouris Dam, at the Water Supply station, near the overflow in Ypsonas.

All net proceeds will be allocated to support the funds for underprivileged children in the Elementary Schools of Kourion Municipality.

The races that will take place on the day of the event are:

• A 600m race for children divided into three categories (Primary School grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6). For the children’s races, no pre-registration is required, and the first three boys and first three girls will be awarded.
• A 1,500m race for middle and high school students and beginner adults, for walking or running. People with disabilities in wheelchairs or parents with strollers can also participate in this race on a non-competitive basis. The first three men and first three women will be awarded.
• A 1,000m scooter race, which is being added as a bonus route for 2025 with a €5 contribution.
• A 5,000m race (corporate and individual), where the first six men and first six women, and the first three companies, will be awarded.
• A 10,000m individual race, where the first six men and first six women will be awarded.
• The Kouris Race of 17,000m/34,000m, where the first six men and first six women will be awarded.
