It’s a test of endurance rather than speed\, requiring strategic pacing and fueling. \nRunners who fail to complete the loop in time\, reach the starting corral for the next lap\, or choose to drop out surrender their bib numbers [DNF]. \nThose finishing early can use the remaining time as desired [rest\, replenishment\, etc.] until the next cycle begins\, with each hour signalling a new start for timely finishers. \nThe race continues until a single runner remains\, crowned the ultimate victor. \nIn addition to the terms outlined in the declaration\, participants in Cyprus Backyard Ultra (CBU) 2026 will receive the following amenities: \n\nAssigned BIB number for identification.\nCommemorative medal for all participants.\nTrophy for the winner and runner-up (assist).\nTechnical t-shirt for the event (additional cost).\nAccess to a special area in the tent village for resting and storing personal items and to WC facilities.\nUnlimited access to a fully stocked central station for hydration and basic feeding services\, including water\, Coca-Cola\, fruits\, and chips. SUMMARY:VIRTUAL RACE IN MEMORY OF STELIOS KYRIAKIDES
DESCRIPTION:Running in Cyprus along with the TUI Cyprus Marathon\, in an effort to raise awareness for the altruistic life’s work and the athletic achievements of Stelios Kyriakides\, we are organising a Virtual Race in his memory. As he was born in Pafos in 1910\, the TUI Cyprus Marathon\, organised in Pafos\, is dedicated to this Marathon Legend.\nProbably the greatest Marathon Legend of Greece & Cyprus who won the Boston Marathon in 1946 and he returned to Greece with the “Kyriakides Aid Package” of 25\,000 tons of medical and food supplies along with $250\,000 in cash from donations. \nAn inspiring person who was not only a pioneer in his athletic efforts but also compassionate and charitable in his everyday life. \nThe least we can do as runners is run the symbolic 7.7km in remembrance of him. \nAll participants can run the distance of 7.7km between 20/04 and 30/04 (20/04 is the date he won the Boston Marathon 1946). As an sign of appreciation\, all participants will receive a custom Medal with the figure Stelios Kyriakides. The delivery will be done through the ACS of your choice or by post if living abroad. There is an optional t-shirt with the emblem he wore while winning the 1946 Boston Marathon. \nLet’s raise awareness for this great human who changed the course of running and altruism. \nA sincere thank you to our partners ACS Courier\, who have helped make this happen.

Their contact details are provided below. \nKyrima Troodos Terra 2027\n\nThe event will start and finish at Troodos Square and will include the following races: \n• 5:00 am – Troodos Marathon 44+ km (+2000 m elevation gain) – The participation fee is €50\, and official finishers will receive a finisher’s T-shirt. \n• 6:00 am – Shionistra Peak 29 km (+1380 m elevation gain) – The participation fee is €35. \n• 8:00 am – Green Race 15 km (+220 m elevation gain) – The participation fee is €20. \n• 8:15 am – Dunlopillo Fun Run 5 km – The participation fee is €15. \n• 10:40 am – Sky Audit Kids’ Race – The participation fee is €5. \n\n\nPrizes will be awarded to the top 6 male and top 6 female winners of the 44+ km and 29 km\, and to the top 3 male and top 3 female winners of the other race categories.
