Η διαδρομή ξεκινά μέσα από το μονοπάτι δίπλα από τον ποταμό Καρκώτη και μέσα από ένα παρθένο δασικό τοπίο διασχίζει την όμορφη κοιλάδα του ποταμού και περνά κοντά στις εγκαταστάσεις του κλειστού ορυχείου χρωμίου και από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου της Στέγης (12ος αιώνας)\, που διαθέτει εξαιρετικές τοιχογραφίες και περιλαμβάνεται στον κατάλογο της Παγκόσμιας Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς της UNESCO. \n\nREGISTER\n\n——————–\n\n\n15km (Start at 08:30)\n7.7km (Start at 09:00)\n1km Kids Race (Start at 11:00)\n\nStart/Finish inside the elementary school of the village. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe race mostly takes place in pristine forest scenery. The Akamas Blossom Trail Running Festival will now be a social weekend running festival using the basic 38km and 24km Akamas Blossom race courses but adapted for different starting points and with short cut options to include runners of all abilities.  \nParticipating runners will need to be able to be self-sufficient for up to 25km for the longer distances. They will also need to navigate using their phones/watches with the GPX tracks and maps provided. \nRuns will start and finish at the Aphrodite Family Eco campsite\, where we will be based for the weekend. \nProvisional Weekend Programme: \nSaturday June 7: \nFrom 09:00 – Meet at the Eco camp to register for the day’s run.10:00 – Set off on a 21 km route (shorter options also possible).14:00 – Picnic lunch at Eco camp15:00 – Beach time! \n18:30 – BBQ for those who wish to join us.
